As if we needed another reason to idol Simone Biles!
The record-breaking Olympic gymnast defied gravity, landed a Yurchenko double pike and was the first woman to finish 7th ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but Biles can add another title to her list: #CoupleGoals!
In an exclusive interview with E! Co-host of News’ Daily Pop Justin New Years Eve, Biles couldn’t help but rave about her NFL gamer friend Jonathan Owens. “He’s actually the hardest working athlete I know,” smiled Biles in the June 8th segment above. “But we definitely argue all the time about which sport is tougher … we always support each other, but at the end of the day we still connect on some crazy level.”
Owens even shared on Instagram on June 7th that it was an “amazing experience” facing Biles in person for the first time. “You did not disappoint,” Owens wrote to his love. “It’s so cool that I can watch you do what you love and be the best at it‼ ️ I’m so proud of you, my little champion.”
