If you’re still a little surprised at that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are kind of the perfect match, the two stars themselves are right there with you.
Blake spoke to Today’s Natalie Morales On Wednesday February 10th, he discussed the recent Super Bowl ad that he and Gwen appeared on for T-Mobile. On the spot, Gwen picks up former The Voice trainer Adam Levine in a fake flashback and explains what she’s looking for in a man. However, because of the mangled connection, Adam hears exactly the opposite of what she wants. That’s why he thinks of Blake.
“That was the funny thing about that commercial,” said the 44-year-old country superstar on his appearance today.
While the couple have proven ideal for each other, announcing their engagement in October after five years together, they also find fans continue to express confusion about their pairing.
“Every day when I look at social media or wherever, there is always someone commenting, ‘Man, what the hell happened to this world where Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are now a thing,'” Blake said with a smile. “So we thought it would be fun to have some fun with it.”
