Put a couple of books in each box – not so many that look stuffed and not too few that look like something is missing. The spruce recommends using only your hardcover books to ensure you have a stable structure. After you’ve stacked your books backwards up, simply place a wooden or glass board on top. The style is a great way to incorporate the color coding method as well, as you can use lighter books to get brilliant focus or darker books to match darker woods.
