John Travolta honors his deceased son, Jett Travolta, on the 29th birthday of his firstborn.
“Happy birthday, my beautiful bridge,” wrote the actor on April 13th on Instagram. “I love you.”
He also posted a black and white throwback photo of the duo. John’s daughter, Ella Travoltaalso shared a snapshot of the siblings from their childhood.
“I love you Jetty,” she captioned the picture. “Happy Birthday.”
Jett died at the age of 16 after suffering a seizure while on a family vacation on Grand Bahama Island in 2009.
“We had very full lives, my son and I, 16 years old,” John said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2015. “We traveled the world and he saw every place when he was that old. But You are planning a life that will be much longer for your child and you always intend to go first. So that’s the difference. Regardless of the full life we lived together, you wanted him to have a full life. “
