Increase your XBox obtain speeds with this setting

Xbox consoles reduce download speeds while you play a game to reduce disruptions to network functionality or multiplayer performance. While the download is currently faster when the Xbox is asleep, Microsoft will soon allow players to increase their download speed while the console is still on with a new “Pause My Game” option in Xbox Download -Manager.

According to Eden Marie, Xbox’s technical director, selecting “Pause My Game” will stop the bandwidth your games are using and instead allow your downloads to run at full speed.

You can always resume your gameplay if you’d rather keep playing and keep your downloads running in the background. Xbox Series X / S users can even use the console’s Quick Resume to retrieve the exact time the game was paused.

Suspend my game is available in the latest Xbox Insider Program dashboard update for Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One. You can download it Xbox Insider Hub app from the Microsoft Store to join the Insider Program and test the function early on. However, it will be available on all Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One consoles in the coming weeks.

How to pause games on Xbox to increase download speed

To use the new Stop My Game download boosting feature once it’s available on your Xbox console:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guidance menu.
  2. Go to My games & apps> Show all> Manage> Queue.
  3. On the Manage Queue page, select the option “Hang on my game.” Your console’s download speed will automatically increase.
  4. When the downloads are complete, you can pick up where you left off.

Ryan Reynolds take a trip back in time.

On March 17th, the 44-year-old actor did something he’s never done before – Green Lantern.

“I’ve only ever read my parts of the script,” he tweeted, “so this is really exciting for me to see.”

As fans may recall, Reynolds played the DC Comics character in the 2011 film, starring alongside a star-studded cast that was also part of Peter Sarsgaard, Angela Bassett, Mark Strong, Tim Robbins and his current wife Blake Lively. Of course, Reynolds couldn’t resist playfully trolling and tweeting the 33-year-old actress again, “Hey @BlakeLively is in this movie !!” He also showed a picture of the couple – who are parents of daughters James, Inez and Betty– and wrote: “That was not a bad premonition for my life as a father.”

Lively and Reynolds actually met on the set of the film in 2010, but were both in different relationships at the time. Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johanssonand Lively was out Penn Badgley. “We were friends then,” said Reynolds Jess Cagle during a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Despite assurances from the Fed that near zero rates are unlikely to rise until 2023, the yield on 10-year government bonds hit 1.74% on Thursday, a high through January 2020 as traders continued to battle central bankers over rates . America’s top diplomat urged China early Thursday to use “enormous influence” to convince North Korea to abandon its nuclear program hours after secluded Pyongyang vowed to ignore any US overtures to resume negotiations. State Secretary Antony Blinken spoke in Seoul at the end of the security talks with South Korea.

Blinken will meet senior Chinese officials on his way back to Washington Thursday in Anchorage, Alaska. Relations between the world’s two largest economies have been torn for years, and the Biden administration has yet to signal whether it is ready or ready to back off the tough stance of former President Donald Trump.

The House was due to vote on Thursday on a bill that would give so-called dreamers, immigrants brought to the United States as children, full legal status and a chance for citizenship. A second measure would do the same for agricultural workers with a migrant background. Both measures certainly seemed to pass. When similar versions of the bills were passed in 2019, seven Republicans voted in favor of the Dreamers bill and 34 backed the farm workers’ move. However, support for the GOP is expected to wane this time around as the party rallies behind calls for tighter restrictions on the US-Mexico border.

5. The federal tax return day on April 15th was postponed to May 17th

The tax return date on April 15th has been postponed by one month. Taxpayers can also delay paying funds owed to the IRS until May 17th. However, the extended period only applies to federal income declarations and taxes. This means taxpayers will need to check to see if state tax due dates have changed. Not all federal states follow the same registration plan as the federal government. The call for a tax day delay has been heightened following the adoption of the latest Covid Relief Plan, which mandates the IRS to submit another round of direct payments at the same time it normally processes tax returns and refunds.

A provision in the American Rescue Plan waives taxes owed for up to $ 10,200 on your unemployment insurance, but it creates a lot of confusion as the tax break has only just expired in the middle of the tax season. Here’s what you should do to claim this – even if you filed your 2020 tax return before the provision went into effect.

How the tax break works

Usually – and to the surprise of many newly unemployed applicants – your unemployment insurance benefit counts as taxable income. However, under COVID relief legislation, up to $ 10,200 in unemployment income will be waived for the 2020 tax year, provided you’ve earned $ 150,000 or less, regardless of whether you’re single or married. The earnings limit is a make-it-or-break-it threshold with no exit and must include all unemployment payments as part of the total (e.g. if you earn $ 140,000 but get $ 10,001 unemployment, you will not qualify for the tax break) .

The yields on ten-year authorities bonds are over 1.7% regardless of the Fed’s reassurance

The US 10-year Treasury bond yield surged over 1.7% Thursday, despite assurances from the Federal Reserve that it had no plans to hike interest rates or curtail its bond-buying program anytime soon.

The benchmark 10-year Treasury note yield rose 9 basis points to 1.737% by 7:10 a.m.CET. The yield on the 30-year government bond rose 5 basis points to 2.502%. The returns move in reverse to the prices. (1 basis point corresponds to 0.01%).

The 10-year price was over 1.4% at the start of the meeting, its highest level since January 24, 2020, when it peaked at 1.762%.

After closing the Fed’s two-day meeting on Wednesday, the central bank announced that it sees stronger economic growth than previously thought and forecasts that gross domestic product will rise to 6.5% in 2021. This corresponds to a forecast of 4.2% of GDP growth in December.

The Fed also expected core inflation to hit 2.2% this year, but a long-term expectation that it would stay around 2%.

The US Federal Reserve also said it has no plans to raise interest rates until 2023 and that it will continue its program of buying bonds worth at least $ 120 billion a month.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell reiterated that the central bank would like to see constant inflation above its 2% target and a substantial improvement in the US labor market before considering changes in interest rates or monthly bond purchases.

Quilter Investors’ portfolio manager Hinesh Patel said on Wednesday following the Fed policy decision, “While no response is the only move offered, whatever Powell is doing at this point, the Fed is putting bond markets in danger.”

“If they do nothing, the bond market will continue to drive yields higher so the Fed can increase or adjust bond purchases. If it acts now, it will be accused of over-stimulating and getting too hot,” he said.

However, Willem Sels, chief investment officer, private banking and wealth management at HSBC, said the Fed’s message of a gradual normalization of policy meant that this was “a very different situation than 2013, when the bond rejuvenation surprised the market and took the lead Real return is increasing rapidly and significantly, causing stocks, gold and risk-weighted assets to be sold. “

There is a legend of a movie. A movie with a twist so ridiculous that I dare not speak about it lest you make fun of this website straight away and never return. It’s called Wild Mountain Thyme. It’s coming to Hulu on April 25th, and you should definitely try to see it without knowing the ending first. Because it’s really, really, really stupid. (Do you know the twist in Serenity that starred Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway? It’s dumber than that.)

It might seem like a movie you’d want to see anyway: it was written and directed by John Patrick Shanley, Moonstruck’s Oscar winner and writer / director of the 80s rom-com cult classic Joe vs. the Volcano. It plays a whole host of handsome and respected people like Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, and Jon Hamm. It takes place in the beautiful Irish hinterland and is full of nature for you to enjoy.

And while these are all good reasons to watch a movie, they are not why you should watch this one. The twist is the reason. The goofy, goofy phrase that the trailer doesn’t even hint at.

Anyway, there are other slightly (or significantly) less stupid things coming to Hulu this month from a distracting looking Jane Austen update comedy called Modern belief (April 16) to a poorly reviewed pandemic action film (Songbird, April 16) for a new season of The Handmaid’s Tale (April 28).
