If you don’t like autoplaying videos, you can turn it off in Safari. Go to Safari Preferences, open the Web pages Tab and select Automatic playback in the left area. Now you can either check the settings of each website in the right pane or activate a global block for all websites.

Click the drop-down menu next to each website name and select Never autoplay to prevent all videos from playing on their own. Alternatively, you can choose Stop media with sound to allow video playback, but muted.

For those who are passionate about autoplaying videos, it is best to turn them off on all websites. To do this, click the drop-down menu next to When visiting other websiteslocated under the right pane on the Websites tab of the Settings window. There you can choose Never autoplay.
