Alyssa MilanoQuick thinking may have saved her and her uncle’s lives after they were in a car accident in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, August 17th, 48-year-old Charmed Alaun sat in the passenger seat while her uncle Mitch, 63, was driving his Ford Edge on an LA freeway, citing a California Highway Patrol press release, People said Mitch suffered a medical emergency while driving and passed out.
According to TMZ, her Ford drove into a different lane and collided with another car, citing law enforcement agencies. Alyssa quickly reached over and put her hand on the brakes to bring her car to a stop. Sources told the outlet that Who’s The Boss actress started giving him CPR until first responders arrived to help.
Alyssa’s spokesperson told TMZ that her uncle is still being treated at a nearby hospital, adding that she wanted to thank the medical staff for coming to his aid. E! News has asked its representative for a comment.
Late Tuesday, Alyssa took to Twitter to realize the importance of knowing CPR. “We should all take every opportunity to protect the people we love,” she wrote. “Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Close your guns. Learn CPR. Small, sensible measures. “
She added, “It’s not difficult to take care of each other, but it’s important.”
