Over the years, Justin has relied on his family, friends, and faith, and has found love too: he got married in 2018 Hailey BieberMonths after a short-lived, rekindled romance with a friend who kept going up and down Selena Gomez. A year later, he revealed that he was battling depression. In the 2020 YouTube documentary, Justin Bieber: Seasons, he went into more detail about his mental health and other issues, admitting that he was a drug addict in his teens.
“There was a time when I sipped lean, popped pills, made Molly, you know, mushrooms, everything,” Justin said in the documentary. “It was just an escape for me. I was young, you know, like everyone in the industry and the people of the world who experiment and just do normal things for adults.”
He continued, “But my experience was in front of cameras and I had different levels of exposure and people and I had a lot of money and a lot of things. Then you have all of these people just kind of hanging around me, wanting stuff from me, knowing that.” I lived the lifestyle that they wanted to live – drinking, smoking. “
Meanwhile, Justin’s music career continued to blossom with the release of his latest album Changes in February 2020. Last fall, he gave his first solo performance on Saturday night since he canceled his Purpose tour.
