Kenzie Ziegler offers a Mea Culpa after old recordings of themselves recently surfaced online.
On Thursday, April 8, the 16-year-old artist performed with his older sister Maddie shared an Instagram story message on Dance Moms expressing “regret” over previous decisions that caused pain. The message did not mention the specific decisions she regretted.
“I sincerely regret any pain I have caused from choices I made when I was younger,” Kenzie wrote. “There’s no excuse for it, and I keep learning and growing so I don’t make the same mistakes again.”
The social media personality continued, “Thank you for understanding that my actions from years ago don’t represent who I am today. Part of growing up is becoming more self-conscious, and I’m determined to educate myself and think before I act. “
Her apology comes after Twitter and Instagram users posted resurfaced screenshots in the past few days that appear to show Kenzie in black type.
