Emma Rose x start of the boutique collection

The influencer and blogger Emma Rose blinded us on Instagram with her chic and flirty style. It was only a matter of time before she poured her expertise into creating a gorgeous, fashion-conscious outfit for the masses. She teamed up with Start of the boutique launch their own collection this week.

If comfort and luxury are a Venn diagram, Emma Rose is in the middle. The Canadian creator of West Coast Kinda Girl puts together looks that are always classy and never trashy. This is probably why nearly 40,000 loyalists visited the website right away on launch. Rose said that day, “Cry because you basically sold out the entire collection in 30 minutes. I love you so much! “

A lot was sold out now, but there are still a few very adorable ensembles and accessories left.

I am partial to that Lulu dead with two adorable and almost retro-like kittens on them. Everyone needs a good bag and this is a wonderful option.

The oversized blazer is a look that is coming back and that I really appreciated. This one in Emma’s collection is perfect in a luscious cream color. The Kristy blazer can be easily combined with jeans and a t-shirt or even a dress. The open back is such a surprise and pleasant to the touch to add a little whimsical edge to something that is usually very textured.

The epitome of Emma is this pink mini dress. Obviously she named it after herself because it’s very girly with clueless 90s vibes. You can style this up or down for a fun evening. The ruffles around this bust add a really delicate and feminine touch. This silky dress is sure to be a hit.

Chinese language semiconductor firm SMIC might emerge victorious resulting from international chip shortage

GUANGZHOU, China – Chinese chipmaker SMIC could capitalize on global chip scarcity and give the company a break from some of the negative effects of US sanctions, according to an analyst.

The shortage of chips started when consumer electronics demand spiked as countries closed to fight the coronavirus pandemic. This demand for products that require advanced semiconductors has created bottlenecks in other industries such as automotive.

Chips are made by companies known as foundries that do the actual manufacturing. The top two are Taiwan’s TSMC and South Korean tech giant Samsung. That said, there are very few companies capable of making state-of-the-art semiconductors.

But not all products, especially in the auto industry, require the most modern chips. In fact, they need a lot of semiconductors based on older technologies. China’s SMIC could step in here.

What is SMIC?

Older technology

SMIC can currently manufacture semiconductors based on older technologies. And that could work to its advantage, since cars and other products don’t need cutting-edge chips right now.

“Cars don’t ask for many high-end chips. Many are still on peripheral chips … which are based on legacy nodes,” said Sze Ho Ng, an analyst at China Renaissance.

These include, for example, chips that are used for power management to regulate the battery consumption of a device.

The node refers to a semiconductor manufacturing process. The most advanced process is known as the 5 nanometer process. However, SMIC cannot produce this type of chip. Instead, the company is looking at 28 nanometers and up, which are much older technologies but are good enough for many industries outside of consumer electronics.

Ng said SMIC has also raised prices for its customers, which should benefit the company. Last month, SMIC announced that its revenue target for 2021 is “mid to high single-digit percentage growth”. Ng said he saw “head” on it.

The analyst has a buy rating and a price target of 43 Hong Kong dollars on SMIC shares listed in the city. If this were to happen it would be a 60% increase from Hong Kong’s $ 26.75 close on Monday.

How to go to sleep after waking up

Sleeping is not easy for many people. Approximately 70 million Americans suffer from some type of sleep disorder. according to the Cleveland Clinic, and around 100 million people in the US don’t typically get enough sleep. The problem has become even more pronounced during the pandemic.

We’re a tired nation, but even if you don’t have a diagnosable sleep disorder, you are no doubt familiar with the experience of waking up in the middle of the night and having trouble getting back to sleep. This is not a full blown insomnia, but a condition that doctors call “insomnia” that is definitely associated with a special kind of misery.

There are several strategies you can try when your nights are restless and sleep is scarce. Hopefully one of them – or a combination of some – will make sleeping back an easier and hassle-free endeavor.

Illustration for article titled How To Fall Asleep After Waking Up

Don’t fixate on time

Chances are you woke up in the middle of the night because of You are worried about something. Don’t add to your worries by watching the clock shorten your chances of getting some rest the next day. That will only add to the mental strain of the struggle for rest.

Instead, avoid looking at your phone’s time (you want to ignore your phone for several reasons, but more on that later). If you have an alarm clock, turn it over so you can’t see the time. What you need is rest, and if you worry about what time it is, you can’t find it.

Limit blue light exposure and screen time before bed

While it’s nice to relax with a little casual Instagram swipe before bed, the blue light emitted by your phone can create a dilemma for the production of melatonin, the hormone largely used in controlling the sleep / wake cycle of the human body is responsible.

How Harvard Medical School explains::

While light of any kind can suppress the secretion of melatonin, blue light in the night it does this more strongly. Harvard researchers and their colleagues conducted an experiment comparing the effects of 6.5 hours of exposure to blue light with exposure to green light of comparable brightness. The blue light suppressed melatonin for about twice as long as the green light and shifted the circadian rhythm by twice (3 hours versus 1.5 hours).

To do this, try putting your phone down for the night an hour before going to sleep – or at least one Adjust settings to dim the screen and limit blue light emissions in the hours before bed. This way, your brain has a chance to produce the melatonin it needs to fall asleep naturally. While we’re tied to our devices, it’s important that you put your phone or tablet away before you go to bed. If you don’t, you will likely be put at a disadvantage if you fall asleep – and stay.

Relax your muscles and your mind

Obviously, this is the prevailing puzzle in the hunt for elusive sleep: you know you need to relax, but the hassle of waking up in the middle of the night is inherently exciting. Despite all the adversities, you have to relax in order to drift away again.

To attempt Breathing exercises, counting backwards or doing a muscle relaxation routine, among other things. Per Johns Hopkins UniversityA good option is “progressive muscle relaxation,” as described below:

Work your way through the different muscle groups in your body (e.g. arms, legs, torso, face), contracting the muscles in each group to about three-quarters strength for about five seconds before releasing the tension all at once to solve. Skip any muscles that are sore and try to isolate the muscles while contracting them instead of tensing your pecs as you focus on your arms, for example. Inhale slowly and deeply between the muscle groups.

Get up and move to another room, then try to sleep again

Many experts advocate a 20-minute rule: after you’ve been lying aimlessly in bed for 20 minutes, get up, move to another place in your house, and do something calming.

You can read a book, do a crossword puzzle, leaf through a magazine, listen to an audiobook or podcast – anything that could make you tired again. Some experts suggest deliberately choosing an activity that you find boring, as you are more likely to fall into a nap when bored rather than stimulated.

The key, however, is to go to another room in the house to do this – staying in bed, “will cause your brain and body to associate your bed with wakefulness rather than sleep,” according to Luis F. Buenaver , Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Johns Hopkins.

Do not drink alcohol before bed

Alcohol consumption can also negatively affect your chances of getting a good night’s sleep. Yes, alcohol is a depressant that slows brain activity and makes you feel slow and heavy, but it can have the opposite effect if you actually fell asleep.

When neurologist Bhanu Kolla from the Mayo Clinic told CNN::

When alcohol is metabolized, it forms acetaldehyde that is stimulating. So if you drink too much alcohol just before bed, it will turn into aldehyde in about four hours, which can disrupt sleep and wake you up.

Trying some of these alone or in conjunction with one other as a measure may not immediately resolve your nighttime wakefulness. However, over time, you can create a routine that will reliably get you back to sleep before the sun comes up.

Paris Hilton seems to be again on the “very merciless” David Letterman interview

0

Hilton said she didn’t “betray” him exactly because she was “not that kind of person”, but that she “got angry”.

After her interview, Letterman apologized and sent her a case of wine.

Nicky Hilton said Letterman wasn’t exactly wrong asking her about duty hours, but said it was “cruel” of him to push her so hard. She said, “I don’t think that would happen today.”

Nicky kept calling Sarah SilvermanSpeak at the 2007 MTV VMAs held in Paris the day before her prison term began.

During the show, Silverman prison officials joked the cell bars to look like male genitals to make Paris feel more comfortable, adding, “I’m just worried she’ll break her teeth on these things.”

In addition, Silverman referred to Lindsay Lohan as “rude little pig”.

Nicky said the comedian made “disgusting, loathsome, perverted statements” and thought, “Imagine this happened today? It wouldn’t.”

Make it possible for your browser’s Learn-It-Later instrument isn’t overloaded

If you come across an interesting article online that you don’t have time to read right away, you may have a habit of opening it up in a new tab to read later – only so that it gets lost in the mess of your browser’s bar Instead, you should use the special “Read Later” function of your browser. It’s a setup I recommend to everyone – fewer resources are consumed by these tabs, your browser looks nicer, and you could actually go back and read these articles one day.

This functionality is already integrated in many browsers – from Edge Chromium Collectionsto Chrome Read later Tool, to Firefox bagto Safari Reading listetc. there are a lot of from Browser Extensions The can help, also.

But be careful: while these third-party extensions and services can add even more fun ways to organize, archive, and share content, make sure this extension keeps your list private by default for later reading.

Does everyone have to see your saved links?

While a new extension was recently tested, Q.Hoping it would provide an easy and hassle-free way for me to save and read articles in the future, I was incredibly impressed with the fact that my account – which I had to create in order to use the extension and sync it My saved articles across different browsers and platforms – by default, a public list of the articles I’ve flagged is shown for later reading. In other words, anyone with my account name can see what I’ve saved.

Even if you switch your account to private, everything you save in Q can be viewed by all other users of the service. Everything is fine in the “new” ticker feed. The title of the article will be attached to your account.

Illustration for article titled Make sure your browser's Read-It-Later tool is not overloadedScreenshot: David Murphy

I can’t think of many websites or services that would work like this other than the obvious ones that are designed for community-driven sharing of interesting content (Reddit, Digg, etc.). In other words, it should come as no surprise that a “social bookmarking” service shares links that you save publicly, as opposed to a true “read-it-later” service.

Look for the best of both worlds: private and public sharing

For my browser, I prefer a read-it-later service approach like bagBy default, all of the content you save is kept private. However, you can also choose to share anything you want on your public profile. However, you can ignore this functionality entirely.

not definedScreenshot: David Murphy

Regardless of which tool you read later, you don’t need a publicly available option. It’s helpful when you want to allow others to read the interesting articles you’ve found, but there are a million other ways to share your best of the best with your friends, including the good old “copy and paste” of the Hyperlinks “Technik. Create a shared spreadsheet, start a group chat, or start a private subreddit – whatever.

Regardless of whether you want to make a private list of interesting or public articles, I definitely recommend using an extension, feature, or service for reading later, rather than leaving everything open as a tab or bookmarked. The more you do to reduce the clutter in your content, the better. Just make sure to check the settings of the service you are using before you start sending any content you want to read.

FTC asks e-cigarette corporations, together with Juul, for gross sales and promotional information

The Federal Trade Commission said Monday that it had asked five e-cigarette manufacturers to provide the agency with sales and promotional data for 2019 and 2020.

The companies named by the FTC were Juul, RJ Reynolds Vapor Co., Fontem, Logic Technology Development, and NJOY.

In October 2019, the FTC asked e-cigarette manufacturers to provide similar marketing data from 2015 to 2018. The FTC examines annual sales data, product flavors, freebies, social media, college campus programs, and influencer and affiliate programs.

E-cigarette maker Juul has previously been in the spotlight of its marketing practices, particularly towards teenagers. Early last year, 39 states investigated the company’s marketing and sales tactics amid legal proceedings involving teenagers alleging addiction to Juul’s products. In 2019, the FDA criticized the company for illegally marketing its vapes as a safer alternative to cigarettes.

In late 2019, Juul announced that it would cease all product advertising on radio, print and digital channels in the United States

Juul, RJ Reynolds Vapor Company and NJOY did not immediately respond to CNBC’s requests for comment. The development of logic technology could not be reached for comment.

“We have worked with the FTC on our response and look forward to sharing it with them by the deadline at the latest,” said Kelly Cushman, a spokeswoman for Fontem’s parent company ITG Brands, in an email.

A big offshore wind farm with big generators begins producing electrical energy

A large wind farm off the British east coast with huge turbines has generated its first electricity. This is the latest example of the technology in the sector growing in size.

The 857 megawatt (MW) Triton Knoll offshore wind farm can provide electricity to more than 800,000 households in the UK once it is fully operational, according to a statement on the project’s website.

9.5 MW turbines from the Danish company Vestas with a top height of around 187 meters are used in the development.

On its website, Triton Knoll has described Vestas turbines as “among the most powerful in the world” capable of providing power to a typical British household for more than 29 hours with a single rotation of the blade.

RWE, Kansai Electric Power and J-Power are co-owners of Triton Knoll, with RWE being responsible for the management of construction, operation and maintenance.

In the North Sea, where Triton Knoll is located, there are now a number of large offshore wind turbines.

These include the 1.2 gigawatts (GW) Hornsea One facility located in waters off Yorkshire, England, which uses 190-meter-high wind turbines.

The major projects planned for the North Sea include the Dogger Bank wind farm with a total capacity of 3.6 GW and the 3.1 GW East Anglia Hub.

Great Britain No. 1, but China not far behind

The news of the development at Triton Knoll helps to consolidate the position of Great Britain as the world market leader in the offshore wind sector.

According to the latest information from the Global Wind Energy Council, it is currently the No. 1 market for cumulative offshore wind turbines with a capacity in excess of 10.2 GW. However, China is close behind with almost 10 GW installations.

The world added more than 6 gigawatts (GW) of new offshore wind capacity in 2020, with China responsible for more than half of those assets, according to GWEC.

With the development of technology, the size of wind turbines has increased. For example, GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X turbine is 260 meters high and can be configured for 12, 13 or 14 MW.

Elsewhere, Vestas has announced plans for a 15 MW offshore wind turbine. The company hopes to install a prototype next year before ramping up production in 2024 while Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is working on a 14 MW turbine, which can also be increased to 15 MW if needed. Both Vestas and Siemens Gamesa state that the height of their turbines will be site-specific.

Scorpio Gold Updates Reporting at Mineral Ridge Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 01, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Scorpio Gold Corporation (“Scorpio Gold” or the “Company”) (TSXV: SGN) reports an announcement made by Titan Mining Corporation (“Titan”) on February 26, 2021 regarding the Company’s 100% owned Mineral Ridge project, Esmeralda County, Nevada. Titan Mining Corporation can earn an 80% joint venture interest by spending a total of US$35 million over a staged period of five years. If Titan spends the initial US$7 million of expenditures by January 1, 2022, it will also have the right to acquire a 100% interest by paying Scorpio Gold US$35 million on or before December 31, 2022. The Titan February 26, 2021 press release is quoted as follows: “Titan announced that in satisfying the reporting requirements of the British Columbia Securities Commission Titan commissioned an independent consultant to prepare a technical report on the Mineral Ridge Project. The technical report for Titan was based on a technical report with an effective date of January 2, 2018, summarizing a feasibility study that was prepared for Scorpio Gold on Mineral Ridge. The technical report prepared for Titan differs in some respects to that prepared for Scorpio Gold given the more recent effective date of the report of December 1, 2020, and includes the reclassification of the Measured Mineral Resources within the existing heap leach pad to Indicated Mineral Resources, an addition of a surge pile to accommodate the crusher which modified the capital cost estimate, changes to the power costs that modified the operating cost estimate, review of commodity prices, and review of inputs to the economic analysis including changes to the gold price used in the analysis. The results of the study indicated that approximately 14,000 ounces of gold had been recovered from continued leaching from the existing leach pad since the 2018 technical report. While the independent consultant has confirmed that the volume of material on the leach pad is generally unchanged (outside of the 14,000 ounces of gold recovered from continued leaching), the extraction has made it unclear where the reported Measured Mineral Resources estimated for Scorpio Gold are precisely located on the leach pad. As a result, the independent consultant revised the Measured classification to Indicated. The below updated estimate of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves reflects the foregoing revisions. A technical report in support of the Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves in this news release, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) titled “Mineral Ridge Project, Esmeralda County, Nevada, USA” with an effective date of December 22, 2020, has been filed on SEDAR concurrently with the issuance of this news release. Readers are encouraged to review the final technical report in its entirety. Data Verification Data verification performed in support of the Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates for Mineral Ridge included in the technical report prepared for Titan included site visits; review of QA/QC data, sampling analytical data and programs from Scorpio Gold and predecessor company drill campaigns; database verification; review of metallurgical data and metallurgical recovery assumptions including leach pad performance; review of mine and recovery plan assumptions; and review of commodity price, capital and operating cost assumptions. Drilling performed by Scorpio Gold primarily in the period 2014–2017 supports the Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates. Scorpio Gold employed a QA/QC program of certified reference materials (CRMs), blanks, and field duplicates inserted in the sample stream at the rate of approximately one control for every 20 samples. The same QA/QC program was generally employed for all samples submitted to each laboratory and the Scorpio Gold on-site assay laboratory. QA/QC procedures implemented during the 2014–2017 drill programs are generally acceptable to support the analytical precision and repeatability. The nature, extent, and results of the sample preparation, security, and analytical procedures, and the quality control procedures employed, and quality assurance actions taken by Scorpio Gold provide acceptable confidence in the drill hole data collection and processing to support Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimation, and mine planning. Gold and silver assays can be used to estimate Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves for the heap leach pad. Silver was not routinely assayed for in the remnant area drill programs. As a result, only gold estimation can currently be supported for these areas. Qualified Person The Qualified Persons who co-authored the technical report include Mr. Todd Wakefield, RM SME, Mr. Bruce Genereaux, RM SME, Mr. Jeffrey Choquette, P.E., Mr. Brian Arthur, RM SME, Mr. Ian Crundwell, P.Geo., and Mr. Kevin Lutes, P.E. The Qualified Persons supervised the preparation of the information that forms the basis for this news release.” Brian Lock, Chief Executive Officer of Scorpio Gold commented: “While there are no significant differences in the reconfirmed results in the Titan technical report, it is additional verification of the resources and reserves contained in the Mineral Ridge Project. The Company looks forward to the results of Titan’s ongoing exploration program.” About Scorpio Gold Scorpio Gold holds a 100% interest in the advanced exploration-stage Goldwedge property in Manhattan, Nevada with a fully permitted underground mine and a 400 ton per day mill facility and a 100% interest of the Manhattan Property situated adjacent and proximal to the Goldwedge property. The Company is in the process of finalizing the acquisition of the adjacent Kinross Manhattan property. Scorpio Gold is party to an earn-in option agreement with Titan Mining Corporation whereby Titan can earn an 80% joint venture interest on the Company’s 100% owned Mineral Ridge gold project located in Esmeralda County, Nevada. To maintain the option Titan must spend a total of US$35 million over a staged period of five years. If Titan spends the initial US$7 million of expenditures by January 1, 2022, it will also have the right to acquire a 100% interest by paying Scorpio Gold US$35 million on or before December 31, 2022.
