The 22-year-old “In My Blood” singer took to Instagram on Sunday February 14th to share a photo of himself kissing his girlfriend’s foot. The picture from the Valentine’s Day post showed the couple relaxing at home with Shawn holding her foot in his left hand and his lips on her two largest toes.

“I kiss your foot because I love you @camila_cabello,” he said.

India might play an essential function within the manufacture of vaccines

India could become the second largest Covid vaccine maker in the world, and analysts say the country has the capacity to manufacture for both its own people and other developing countries.

Most of the world’s vaccines historically came from India. Even before Covid-19, the South Asian country was producing up to 60% of the world’s vaccines – and at relatively low costs.

“India was a vaccine manufacturing center before the pandemic and should be a strategic partner in vaccinating against COVID-19 worldwide,” JPMorgan analysts wrote in a report last month.

Consultancy firm Deloitte predicts India will rank second after the US in terms of coronavirus vaccine production this year. PS Easwaran, partner at Deloitte India, said more than 3.5 billion Covid vaccines could be produced in the country in 2021, compared to around 4 billion in the US

In addition, companies in India are currently increasing production to meet demand.

“We are expanding our annual capacity to deliver 700 million doses of our intramuscular COVAXIN,” said Indian company Bharat Biotech, which worked with the Indian State Council for Medical Research to develop a Covid vaccine.

Covaxin was approved for emergency use in India, but was controversial due to criticism that the approval was not transparent enough and because not enough efficacy data was published.

India vaccines suitable for developing countries

Another vaccine – known in India as Covishield and jointly developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford – has also been approved as an emergency in India. It is made locally by the Serum Institute of India (SII).

SII manufactures around 50 million cans of Covishield every month, according to Reuters, and plans to grow production to 100 million cans per month by March.

Other Indian companies have agreed to make vaccines for developers such as the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the US company Johnson & Johnson. To be clear, these vaccine candidates have not yet been approved for use.

“Even without successful vaccine development from our own pipelines, the available capacity offers the opportunity to work as a contract manufacturer with approved vaccine developers in order to meet the supply needs, particularly for India and other countries [emerging markets]”said the JPMorgan report.

With a proven track record on the scale that vaccines are made, India should be able to ramp up production to meet international demand as well.

Nissy Solomon

Center for Policy Research

India’s vaccines are likely to be more suitable for developing countries, said K Srinath Reddy, president of the Public Health Foundation of India.

Some of today’s leading vaccines, such as those from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, use messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, which uses genetic material to trigger the body’s infection control process.

These vaccines require “stringent cold chain requirements” that will be difficult or even “out of the realm of possibility,” for most health systems, Reddy said.

Vaccines made in India are easier to transport and cheaper, putting the country in a better position than the US and Europe when it comes to meeting demand in developing countries, he added.

India’s “proven record”

India’s enormous manufacturing capacity also gives analysts confidence that the country can provide vaccines to other nations.

New Delhi has pledged to send vaccines to its neighboring countries and has already delivered 15.6 million doses to 17 countries, according to Reuters.

“India’s manufacturing capacity is sufficient to meet domestic demand,” said Nissy Solomon, senior research associate at the Center for Public Policy Research (CPPR).

“With a proven track record of the same scale as vaccines, India should be able to ramp up production to meet international demand as well,” she told CNBC.

Solomon added that the country is monitoring domestic needs before making decisions about exports.

For its part, Bharat Biotech said it was “fully prepared to meet the needs of India and global public health”.

Vaccine storage and distribution challenge

However, there will be challenges as the country attempts to meet vaccine demand in India and beyond.

Jefferies stock analyst Abhishek Sharma wrote in a note that vaccine adoption in India has been slow. Even assuming the speed of vaccination will increase, Sharma estimates that only 22% of India’s 1.38 billion people can be vaccinated in one year.

That is roughly the number of people India would like to vaccinate by July or August.

“The supply of vaccines is less of an issue than the storage, distribution and intake of vaccines,” said Solomon of CPPR.

“India is unable to store and distribute such large quantities to the masses,” she said, adding that the country should “strategically” choose vaccines that do not need to be stored in extreme temperatures.

I would say that [these challenges are] more like speed limiters slowing the program down than actual roadblocks where the program must be stopped.

K Srinath Reddy

Public Health Foundation of India

The vaccines India is currently manufacturing require normal refrigeration. However, the vaccines manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech must be stored at extremely cold temperatures of minus 70 degrees Celsius, while those made by Moderna must be stored at minus 20 degrees Celsius (minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit).

The “real challenge” lies in the sheer number of people who need to be vaccinated, said Reddy of the Public Health Foundation of India.

“This is the first time an adult vaccination program has been carried out on such an unprecedented scale,” he told CNBC.

He said vaccination programs usually focus on vaccinating children and mothers, and the logistics network may not be prepared to handle vaccines for entire populations.

Reddy suggested using the existing food cold chain for vaccines, hoping this could be resolved.

“I would say that [these challenges are] more like speed limiters slowing down the program than actual roadblocks where the program has to be stopped, “he said.

If, like many people, you’ve been in front of TV more than ever in the past year, you are not alone. And thanks to new extensions and functions Streaming services, We can host long-distance movie nights with people who don’t live with us (or even in the same state) and watch things on Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, Prime Video, and YouTube.

Setting up this part is pretty easy. The hard part is choosing something to watch. Even people who seem to have everything in common can have different opinions when it comes to entertainment. And this is not limited to people outside of our household.

While many people have multiple screens, fighting over what to see can be a potential strain on all types of relationships during the pandemic. And there is Movie Matcher come in. Here’s how it works and how to use it.

Illustration for article titled Use this site to find a movie to watch with your friend or partner based on shared preferences

How to use Movie Matcher

The idea here is to help you and a friend / partner / family member / pen pal choose a movie that you can both enjoy together – rather than having a person who doesn’t like superhero movies sit down and watch something the other person likes. (Once again.)

G / O Media can receive a commission

This is how it works. Go to The website and enter your name. Then decide if you want to match with a partner (used here in the UK version rather than someone you want to breed with) or a movie star. Go with “buddy”. (We’ll get into the movie stars option in a minute.) You will be given a link to copy and send to your friend.

Both parties are then asked to make some decisions. First, select three genres of movies that you don’t want to see (ex. Science fiction, war, drama, etc.). Then for three types of movies they are in the mood to watch them (i.e. feel good, detective, superhero). And finally, how far back in time they want to go (i.e. movies since 1970).

Illustration for article titled Use this site to find a movie to watch with your friend or partner based on shared preferencesScreenshot: Movie Matcher

Using data from IMDb and your settings will give you a recommendation for a movie that you both should probably either agree to or at least agree to. If you want something different, just click “seen” and other options will appear. Once you’ve decided on something, you can click “More Details” to go to the IMDb page of the recommended movie for more information.

Illustration for article titled Use this site to find a movie to watch with your friend or partner based on shared preferences

How to match with a movie star

Individuals who don’t have someone to watch movies with remotely (or in the same house) but still want to play can do so by selecting the option that matches a movie star. Small illustrations of various film characters are then shown, including Sister Mary Clarence / Deloris Wilson, Princess Leia, Shrek, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins and a few others.

What is not clear, however, is whether you will be compared to a movie star (as advertised) or the character shown in the picture. For example, I would be very keen to fit in with Carrie Fisher, but would pass on Princess Leia. Anyway, that’s a fun thing and I’m ruining it, but you get the picture. In the end, you will receive a recommended movie for you and either a movie character or the actor who played it. Then you can enjoy it alone.

JoJo Siwa has found her “perfect person” to spend Valentine’s Day with.

Japan had a forecast quarter of double-digit growth

(Bloomberg) – Japan’s recovery held up better than expected in the last quarter. The economy saw double-digit growth again as exports rose, businesses invested and government incentives boosted consumer spending, despite the coronavirus spike in winter, the Cabinet Office reported on Monday at 12.7% quarter over quarter in the three months to December. The result was better than 22 out of 24 forecasts by the economists surveyed. The expansion in the fourth quarter helped the economy weather the pandemic year with a 4.8% decline, better than economists forecast and with less success than the 5.7% decline in 2009 following the global financial crisis. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average rose 1.2%, briefly surpassing 30,000 for the first time since 1990, according to the growth report. Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga confirmed that Japan’s vaccine campaign will begin on Wednesday. While the virus drives the economy, the strong performance at the end of 2020 is on the decline again. The strong performance in late 2020 suggests that the recovery could return to relatively solid levels once the country ends the state of emergency that now covers Tokyo and Japan’s other major cities. What Bloomberg’s economist says … “Resilience to consumption, exports and investment should put the economy in a better position to recover in the second quarter once virus containment measures are in place. ”- Yuki Masujima, economist. You can find the full report here. Improved trade, particularly with China, and increases in household spending continued to fuel growth, but in the fourth quarter businesses also increased their investments. That addition contributed to a faster than expected expansion and could be a signal that the Japanese company is now seeing better prospects. “It looks like business spending is finally being used due to the recovery in exports,” said Sumitomo Life Insurance Co. economist Hiroaki Muto. “The first quarter will be down again, but we are on a recovery trend.” How long the state of emergency lasts is a key factor in the immediate outlook. Falling case numbers give hope that restrictions in some areas could be lifted before the scheduled end date, March 7, but with hospital capacity still overwhelmed, that decision is still pending. Earlier this Monday, Japan said Japan would start shooting medical workers this week. “GDP shows that the economy can recover if the virus doesn’t disturb things,” said Yoshimasa Maruyama, chief market economist at SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. “The pandemic has not disrupted supply chains or production capacities like an earthquake, and many households are willing to spend in the face of the low unemployment rate.” Government spending, loan support from the Bank of Japan, and a corporate and employee culture that has traditionally been job security Increases in front of high wages have helped keep unemployment at just 2.9%, a fraction of the rates in the US and parts of Europe. Even so, the compromise was wage cuts that could limit the size of a co-resuscitated consumer spending after the end of the emergency and the pent-up demand wears off on its own even if households have a floor below. More More Non-annualized GDP rose 3% qoq, compared to a consensus estimate of 2.4%. Private consumption rose by 2.2% compared to the previous quarter, compared to a 2% increase forecast by economists. Business investment rose 4.5%. Analysts had forecast an increase of 2.4%. Net exports of goods and services contributed 1 percentage point to non-annualized GDP growth. Economists forecast an increase of 0.9 percentage points. Coping with fellow vacationers who don’t comply with the COVID guidelines

Illustration for the article titled Dealing with a Passenger Who Doesn't Follow COVID-19 RulesPhoto: Oleg Elkov (Shutterstock)

At this stage of the pandemic, it makes no sense to even comment on how much COVID-19 has changed air traffic – that goes without saying. And how did that go? It depends on who you ask.

When We interviewed Brian Kelly, aka The Points GuyBack in October 2020, he mentioned that in his own experience there were fewer people on planes and those who flew followed the rules and were polite to each other. (That was a few months ago, so he might have other observations now.)

But not everyone has shared this sentiment, and many people notice fellow travelers who don’t believe the COVID-19 public health measures apply to them. As if the virus was approaching them, she realized that they were rich and privileged – or felt justified to ignore the precautionary measures for other reasons – and then just went on her merry way.

When you run into someone with this attitude while traveling, you may not be entirely sure how to deal with it for a number of reasons, including realizing that the chances that they’ll listen to you and then stick to it, are low. However, if you do decide to work together like this, here are some expert tips to help you navigate different situations.

The person is not wearing a face mask

Instead of giving a talk on germ theory, Nick Leighton, an etiquette expert who did the “Were you raised by wolves?” Podcast advises a neutral approach. Here is what he is recently said USA Today::

“When you deal with another traveler, you approach the person in a manner that is impartial and unbiased, and assumes that the problem is just an innocent mistake and not intentionally malicious. The right tone is often the key to successfully defusing and resolving sticky etiquette situations. “

In this context (assuming you made an innocent mistake) you can also mention something about that new TSA fines for wearing a mask at the airport.

Person is not physically distant

This tip is from Jeanie Johnston, a Tour operator based in Minneapolisand takes a similar approach: combining kindness with a context that may be relevant to the person in the immediate vicinity. On a recent trip to Disney World (um …) she politely asked that some people queuing near her give her some space, her USA Today said.

But before she did, she noticed that Disney World hasn’t had a case of COVID since July – she reckoned they had put two and two together on their own, and figured out if Disney World should stay open should they follow guidelines.

Person skips the hand sanitizer

This is an old trick usually used to trick someone with bad breath into accepting a stick of gum or a mint. Except this time, you’re at an airport (or on an airplane, etc.) and see someone who might use hand sanitizer. Instead of giving them unsolicited hygiene information, take out your bottle of hand sanitizer, use something, and then offer it to the person casually– polite, not passive-aggressive.

I’ve made the switch to an inkjet printer, and I’m not going back. It felt like I was buying new ink cartridges way too often, which was bad for my budget and it also felt just plain wasteful. This Epson EcoTank ET-2720 inkjet printer should provide the average household with up to two years of printing— or 4,500 prints, whichever comes first. The calculation Epson made is based on 125 prints a month. And that’s all just in the one ink kit that the wireless all-in-one printer comes with! The equivalent in traditional ink cartridges would be about 80 cartridges.

The Epson EcoTank ET-2720 is $50 off right now at both Best Buy and Amazon, and that’s a deal you should seriously jump on. Not only will you get lots of clean prints, you can also scan documents and make copies in a snap! Grab it while the deal is still good.

The best portable bluetooth speakers blend quality sound with portability and long-lasting battery life, giving you everything you need to bump your favorite beats whether you’re during your weekly deep clean or heading out on another adventure. If you snag a pair, you can link them up and make a stereo speaker setup, too. Typically, it costs about $100, but you can get it for $67 today at Best Buy, saving you $33. Be warned, though, only the Deep Space color is down to $67, but the Bermuda Blue is also on sale for $30 off.

Amazon makes the cheapest brand-name tablets around, and while we wouldn’t put them on par with proper iPads, they’re solid budget-friendly options for use-anywhere streaming media, ebooks, web browsing, and more. Usually, the dirt-cheap Fire 7—currently just $40—and the Fire HD 8 (now $65) catch our attention, but it’s the sizable Fire HD 10 tablet that might be Amazon’s best bargain at the moment.

Right now, the large 1080p slate is just $95, a 37% savings off the $150 list price. This sizable Android tablet gives you a solidly crisp screen ideal for media, apps, browsing, and even games, plus the 12-hour battery life will keep you entertained whether kicking around at home right now or hopefully on future, safe travels.

Amazon’s tablets aren’t the most powerful devices around, so keep your expectations in check as far as glossy 3D gaming and speedy multitasking. However, they hit a sweet spot in terms of function and price and are ideal for consuming media. Amazon customers give the Fire HD 10 a 4.6-star rating and the $95 price is for the 32GB version with ads on the lock screen. The ad-less version is $110, or you can always pay a fee to remove the ads later.

In his roundup of the best VPNs at Gizmodo, Andrew Couts called NordVPN “fast and easy to use,” citing accessibility and affordability as reasons to subscribe. Though it’s almost always marked down from its $287 list price, the 2-year plan is nonetheless the cheapest option to get started with the service and continue using it long-term. For a limited time only, though, it’s not only 68% off, bringing your total to just $89 for 730 days, but it also comes with an extra 1-month, 1-year, or 2-year plan, randomly applied by the Nordic gods at checkout, through the end of February.

Couts says in his abbreviated review:

No matter what you pay, you’ll get access to more than 5,400 servers in more than 60 countries, a bunch of features you may or may not want, and, because the company is based in Panama, assurances that your data—or lack of data, as the case may be—is outside of U.S. and European jurisdictions. Like every other VPN on this list, NordVPN claims to have a “strict no-logs policy,” so most of your data isn’t collected, the company says. It does still collect your email address, payment information, and the timestamp of the last time you launched the VPN.

But NordVPN isn’t without its downsides. “…some researchers have found that it sends your email address and Google Ad ID to a marketing company when you register through the Android app and contains some trackers,” Couts explained. “Another downside is that some of NordVPN’s servers are rented, which means another company you need to trust is in the mix. And yes, one of those servers got hacked in 2018.”

Still, if you want one of the most reliable VPN clients, with the budget to support its robust infrastructure, you can’t go wrong with NordVPN. Plus, with availability on virtually every platform imaginable—from macOS to Android TV—this private networking tool is equal parts ubiquitous and acclaimed. Endorsed by PCMag, Wired, CNET, Business Insider, and more, it may be time to board the Nord train if you’re somehow unwedded to a VPN already.

You have a laptop. You have a tablet. But do you have a laptop that’s kind of a tablet? If you want to combine the best of both worlds, there’s plenty of flexible laptops out there capable of folding into a compact piece of tech. Take, for example, this 11.6″ Acer Chromebook. The laptop’s touchscreen can flip around entirely, allowing you to turn it into a sort of standing tablet. That’s perfect for watching movies or playing games without having a keyboard in your way. Other than that little perk, this Chromebook has 10 hours of battery life and 64 GB of storage. It’s currently on sale for $220, so this is an inexpensive option for someone who needs a laptop but doesn’t need the power (AKA, your mom).

Alright, let’s get something straight. Presidents’ Day? Whatever! It seems like a pretty lame holiday and you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone that “celebrates” it. But is having a day off from work nice? Yes. And is having a bunch of absolutely random sales because of it also a perk? Yep. So, it’s hard for me to complain when Best Buy is running a massive video game sale for the holiday. What’s discounted? Too much to list here considering there are 12 pages of deals. But here are some highlights none the less. First-party Nintendo Switch games are discounted across the board, and you know how rare that can be. Most notable is the elusive Ring Fit Adventure, which is down to $70. Even the rarely discounted Animal Crossing: New Horizons is down to $50. The Last of Us Part 2 is $30, so you can finally form an opinion on it for half price. The absolutely fantastic Yakuza: Like a Dragon is down to $40 and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Consider this a fair warning: the Super Mario Nintendo Switch is now on sale, and it’s going to go fast. Every time Nintendo releases a new special Switch, listings are up and down within seconds. GameStop is already sold out and we imagine other retailers won’t have it much longer. By the time you’re reading this, it may even be sold out at Target, where you can currently get it. So if you want one, don’t delay. This special Switch is all red and blue, just like the most famous Italian himself. In addition to a custom color scheme, the package comes with a Switch carrying case too, which is a nice bonus. If you were going to buy a Switch at some point anyways, you might as well go this route and get the extra perk.

We all knew this day was coming. Ever since Cyberpunk 2077 launched just in December, it’s seemed pretty clear that a price drop was imminent. A wave of bad press really hurt the game’s word of mouth, despite the fact that it reportedly sold over 13 million units.

Whether or not this is directly related to all of the fallout, you can now get Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 for $49 or Xbox One for $45 from Amazon. If you’d rather get a PC copy, Eneba has the game down to $27 when you use the discount code CP2027 at checkout. You’ll get a key that’s redeemable on GOG.

Be warned that the game has been widely criticized on consoles for poor performance, especially if you have the original base PS4 or Xbox One hardware (instead of the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X).

CD Projekt Red has announced a roadmap of patches and fixes that will finish rolling out this month, and you’ll also get access to the respective next-generation upgrade on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S once that’s released later this year. However, there is no guarantee of eventual performance quality, so jump in at your own risk.

We’ve seen Ubisoft slash the price on games like Watch Dogs: Legion, Just Dance 2021, and even Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but the studio just took things to another level. You can now grab Immortals: Fenyx Rising for $30 at Amazon. The game is still relatively brand new, so that’s about as fast a price cut as you can expect. Ubisoft’s latest open world game looks like it takes many cues from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with free climbing, gliding, and rune-like abilities that can be used to solve puzzle shrines. Except it’s about Gods. If that sounds up your alley, you can grab the PS4, Xbox, and Switch versions at a discount now.

Stop wasting money on old alkaline batteries that you’ll eventually throw away and grab some rechargeable packs for your Xbox, whether it’s Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One. This Beboncool set has two batteries and their charger, and it falls down to $17 at Amazon.

The batteries are rated for 2,550mAh capacity, which should get you more than 15 hours of playtime, and it only takes a couple of hours to recharge them once they’re depleted. This is my preferred alternative to plug-and-play kits, as it means I never have to stay attached to the ‘box.

A new year means new opportunities to drop money on crazy gaming collector’s items with no regard for your wallet. I’m usually immune to it, but even I’ve been succumbing recently, buying steelbooks and special editions. This special physical version of Dead Cells is really tempting me to take it to the next level though. The Switch version of the roguelike’s Prisoner’s Edition is down to $80 on Amazon and it’s stacked with extras. It includes a 8.5″ statue of the game’s protagonist and a 7″ vinyl soundtrack. That game’s got jams, so the latter is especially appealing. A DLC code for the Bad Seed DLC is included too, and the entire thing is housed in a snazzy metal tin. So I need this? No. But do I deserve a damn reward for surviving 2020? I’d argue yes for the purposes of making a crazy purchase.

It’s been a quiet year for games so far, and that’s likely to continue considering how many delays have already happened in 2021. But there’s actually a neat little gem coming this week: Little Nightmares II. The first game was a wonderful, creepy puzzle platformer that got a little lost in the 2017 shuffle. With the runway clearer, the sequel looks like it’ll make a bigger impact with its dazzling art direction that makes it look like the second coming of Limbo. The game is out today and you can currently get the PS4 version for $25, the Xbox version for $27 (with promo code EMCESHH49) and the Switch version for $34. I have no idea why they are all slightly different prices, but that feels properly horrifying.

If you’ve ever thought about buying any EA game in the past few years, here’s your moment to shine. Amazon is running a giant EA publisher sale, which includes discounts on some of the company’s greatest hits on PC only. If you don’t want to subscribe to EA Play, this is an excellent chance to pick and choose the games you want for cheap. The sale includes a mix of recent hits and golden oldies. If you’ve been thinking about getting Star Wars Squadrons, it’s on sale for $24. Speaking of the space drama, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is only $20.

The deals don’t stop there! Want to dip into Burnout Paradise Remastered? That’s only $5! There are some rock bottom prices on amazing games in here, like Titanfall 2 for $6 or Dead Space for $2, so browse around and see if there’s anything you’ve been meaning to pick up over the years.

Cyberpunk 2077’s launch has been one of the messiest in recent memory. While some are enjoying CD Projekt Red’s ambitious open world game, others are experiencing a wave of bugs and graphical errors that make immersion next to impossible. The last-gen editions of the game are in especially bad shape, leaving fans to wonder if the studio actively tried to hide the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions ahead of release. The situation is so bad that Sony pulled the game from the PlayStation store entirely, leaving CDPR scrambling for fixes. Oh, and there’s that whole cyberattack drama as well, which is unfortunate.

All that said, it’s not really a great time to buy Cyberpunk 2077 if you’re a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One owner. Hell, I played on PC and it still felt like it wasn’t quite ready. So here’s a something to do while you wait for the next big patch: get The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition for $10 instead. For those who have yet to play it, it’s a much better introduction to CD Projekt Red and its ability to craft sprawling open world adventures. If you like it, come back to Cyberpunk later this month when the game’s second massive patch is supposed to launch. Or maybe wait until the Complete Edition inevitably drops in a few years.

Here’s a fun fact about sports games: they tend to be the last games released on older consoles. For whatever reason, gamers who just play Madden or FIFA don’t seem to care about upgrading to a new machine right away. They’re happy to just keep their old system as long as the next annual edition of their favorite sports games keep coming to it. With that in mind, here’s a perfect deal for that specific type of gamer. You can get one year of EA Play on PS4 for $26. Just use the code MOSTLYSPORTS at checkout and you’ll shave a few bucks off the usual price. This may seem niche, but we’ve got to look out for all kinds of gamers here. If you really just plan on keeping your PS4 another year to play the next Madden installment, why not get access to EA’s games service and save some money?

You got a lot of vitamins to fit into your diet and you don’t have time to masticate everything— I get it.

Lucky for you, Bed Bath & Beyond has priced its Dash Compact Cold-Press Power Juicer down to just $60 right now— that’s even lower than the Amazon price! Of course, that’s the price for the lovely aqua-colored version you see pictured above. The silver version is going for $80 right now( I like the aqua one better anyway).

You can not only juice all the fruits and veggies with this baby, but it can even make almond and cashew milk. What more could you need?

While you can’t apply coupons to the Dash juicer, Beyond+ Members can get it for just $48. Don’t miss out!

Unfortunately, I believe this discount code only works on the black model and not the white one, which can be yours for $24. Just as a heads up, we previously had a discount code for the white model which brought it all the way down to $10— but that was a very short-lived deal that didn’t last through the day. So, this may drop again in price, but the black model is the best bet for now.

This deal was originally published by Elizabeth Lanier on 1/31/2021 and was updated with new information on 2/13/2021.

Normally this would be the time of year where I’d be revamping home goods for my own travel or friends/family who will visit. But alas, travel plans are still on hold for the foreseeable future. However, this Macy’s sale is so good I’m just going to toss out the old and welcome the new. The Martha Stewart Collection of Quick Dry Towels are just $9, and the hand towels are $5. So you can have a set for only $14. Just use the code VDAY at checkout.

They come in nine colors, so you’re sure to find the right hues to blend with your bathroom decor and add a touch of class. Each towel is made of cozy machine washable cotton and is guaranteed to be cozy after a nice hot shower. This is because one side reverses to a solid terry cloth material. The bath towels are a standard 27″ x 52″. Act fast because these will not last.

Whether you’re outdoors camping, or your power is out at home, a portable generator comes in handy for recreational activities and emergency situations alike. From Kinja Deals reader-favorite brand Tacklife, this one is solar-powered and boasts a 300 watt-hour battery capacity. Measuring 14″ x 9″ x 7″ and weighing 9.57 pounds in the box, its size is comparable to an industry-grade rugged laptop—compact enough to take on a trip, even in the trunk of a small sedan, but don’t count on fitting it in your pocket. Still, considering its diminutive dimensions, the Portable Power Station packs a real punch, capable of charging a smartphone more than 27 times, a laptop (or refrigerator!) for 6 hours, a 45-watt CPAP for 9 hours, and a car vac for 2.5 consecutive hours.

The generator includes the required three Lithium-ion batteries needed to operate the device and, for a limited time only, is discounted $65 using the promo code FO5YH4MC. As the weather grows colder, you might want to jump on this deal before it spikes back up to its full $215 list price. I’m a big fan of these single-serve K-cup machines because I often make too much coffee and waste a lot of grounds. This Keurig K-Mini Plus is just $79, and has a savings of $31.

This sleek black color is great if you’re trying to match it with other appliances or want it to blend in with whatever is already on your counter. It’s slim so that it won’t take up much space, and it has its own K-pod storage of up to nine little java units. You can use any K-pods in this machine as long as they are the same size. Most travel mugs fit snug right up to the drip, so if you’re on the move, you’ll have fresh hot joe too.

If you’ve ever made the mistake of applying glitter nail polish, you know it basically takes an exorcism to remove every last bit of sparkle once you’re sick of it.

Sure, you have the option of soaking your nails in acetone to remove it all—but that leaves me with red, itchy hands after, personally. And even if it doesn’t bother your skin, the acetone strips natural oils from your nails. If you are also done with harmful acetone, you’ve got to give a peel-off base coat a try.

There’s nowhere better to start than the UNT Ready For Takeoff Peelable Base Coat, now just $12 at Amazon. This cult-favorite base coat (which even used to be a favorite of popular nail-art YouTuber Simply Nailogical before she created her own peel-off base coat) makes removing your nail polish so easy you won’t want to go back.

When you’re finished with your manicure and ready for a new look, just dab a bit of your preferred skin oil (I use jojoba) around your cuticles, and then peel away. It’s especially satisfying to see the polish come off in one go!

Have you ever thought to yourself, God, I wish my Fleshlight were more like a gaming rig? If you answered yes, then Lelo’s F1s is just the thing for you. Available in Developer’s Kit RED and Prototype variants, it might seem concerning that neither of these sounds like a finished product, but naming isn’t everything. While the company probably should have steered clear of monikers that, in the tech world, are typically synonymous with “works in progress,” both F1s models are nevertheless pretty advanced pieces of equipment. Too advanced, some might argue.

But for the horny desk jockey, it’s also kind of hard to resist a male sex toy that hooks up to your phone using a smartphone app for unbridled customization. But imagine if, on top of being able to control your settings and track performance, you were also able to modify the SDK yourself. Because it’s open-source, either F1s unit lets you create your own patterns and adjust the intensity of its rumble by way of its internal sensors. Add to that Lelo’s patented SenSonic haptics—made famous by the world’s best-selling Lelo Sona—and you’ve got yourself the perfect accompaniment to any high-end gaming setup, and at a price that can’t be beaten.

These are industry-standard which means they are supposed to filter 95 percent of particles. That is just about as good as you can get. These are also great if you’ve got severe allergies or asthma and protect against pollen, dander, and whatnot. As you’ve seen this week, Lelo designs beautiful adult toys that are gorgeously packaged and meticulously tested. The Soraya 2 is hands down my favorite. Use the code KINJA10 at checkout for a total of 30% off this glorious vibe.

I was not prepared for the power that the Soraya 2 has, and it took some getting used to. But once I did, it quickly rose to the top of my list. As with a classic rabbit, you both g-spot and c-spot stimulation. The difference here is it is precise every use. Lelo’s entire line is made from the plushest ultra-silicone, softer than any vibe in my collection. The Soraya 2 was designed to be the perfect shape because Lelo literally did trans-vaginal ultrasounds to engineer the most elite vibrator on the market. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is.

You know I’m a sucker for sex tech, and I was positively surprised by the ingenuity of the Soraya 2. Lelo really took into consideration a woman’s body and needs. There are twelve vibration settings, and it’s effortless to operate with the button placement and the open handle. I wouldn’t say it’s “whisper quiet,” but it’s a lot gentler in the noise department than other toys out there. It absolutely holds its charge and can handle self-love sessions for up to two hours. You also can only use one motor at a time because the dual ones are independent of each other. Which I have to say is a nice feature to mix it up. The Soraya 2 is extremely accomodating, and if you’re looking for something with a kick, this might be the vibe for you. This is approved for watersports, so don’t be afraid to take it on a high seas adventure. Water-based lube is recommended. And please remember to clean your goodies before and after use. Lelo actually has a great spray for that.

The secrets and techniques of Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet’s epic love story

0

When he was about 26 years old and was just starting a four season run on Stargate: Atlantis, fate brought them together one night at a jazz club in Los Angeles.

“We were just in the right place, at the right time, mutual friends,” said Momoa. “I actually almost feared my hair for her.” How by accident?

“I had huge dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around, I was with my best friend and I see her and I am like” – he paused, remembering the struggle to keep a serious, cool face . “She goes, you know, ‘I’m Lisa.’ I thought I turned to my friend and was like: [teen girl shriek of excitement]. I had fireworks inside me man! “

He didn’t have a car and said, “I convinced her to take me home because I was living in a hotel.” But first they stopped at 101 Coffee Shop in Hollywood, where Bonet ordered a Guinness – which happens to be Momoa’s favorite.

“That was it,” he said. “We had Guinness and grits and the rest is history.”

Of course, a bit of history preceded Momoa’s arrival in Bonet’s life.

The US continues to be struggling to maneuver away from fossil fuels.

The world’s largest carbon-emitting nations have lagged far behind their competitors in tackling a “global climate emergency”, according to new research.

The Green Future Index, released by MIT Technology Review late last month, measures and rates 76 nations and territories for their progress in building a low-carbon future. It found that China and the United States continue to lag behind Europe and other parts of the world in decarbonization.

“Europe is fast becoming a leading climate company with 15 of the top 20 countries in the index,” Claire Beatty, editorial director at MIT Technology Review Insights, told CNBC.

The open assessment underscores the slow progress that major polluters are making in their efforts to decouple their energy systems and economies from fossil fuels, despite new pledges to prioritize clean technology, industry and infrastructure in their post-pandemic recovery plans.

At the top of the Green Future Index is Iceland, a nation with a strong track record in clean energy generation and carbon capture technology. This is followed by Denmark (2nd), Norway (3rd), France (4th) and Ireland (5th).

The index takes into account five pillars, including carbon emissions, the share of renewable energies in energy consumption, environmentally friendly initiatives of a society, innovations in decarbonization and the effectiveness of national climate policy.

“Many of these countries, especially in Northern Europe, are very ambitious in decarbonising and building green infrastructures into their energy and transportation industries,” said Beatty.

Beyond the European bloc, the survey reveals a far more troubling history of global efforts to address the global climate challenge.

Great country ranking

The largest carbon emitting nations in the world had poor results. India (21st) was well ahead of the US (40th) and China (45th) in overall decarbonization efforts.

Despite strong emissions growth, India said India was “rapidly adopting renewable energy and building some of the world’s largest solar systems”. Even so, India still relies heavily on coal for cheap power generation and jobs.

Researchers said the United States, responsible for 15% of global emissions, “is still struggling to move away from fossil fuels and carbon-intensive agriculture.” The Joe Biden government pledges to reverse the rolling back on environmental regulations and make the US a 100% clean energy economy with net zero emissions by 2050.

“The lack of political leadership in the US on climate and energy over the past four years has been very problematic,” Kurt Waltzer, executive director of the research organization Clean Air Task Force, told CNBC.

“The US has seen significant growth in renewable energy, but it started from a very small base. To truly move to a decarbonised energy system, the US needs to set clear requirements in conjunction with energy innovation strategies that will keep all sectors out of emissions cause, “Waltzer added.

China, responsible for 28% of global emissions, has pledged to hit net carbon zero by 2060, but progress is slow. Coal continues to play a key role in China’s energy mix.

“National climate ambitions are currently too low – an issue that will be the main theme of COP26 later this year – but it is important that we do not treat all countries equally,” said Waltzer.

“The industrialized countries should lead with mandates and innovation policies that create decarbonised energy markets. Developing countries must incorporate innovation into economic development and plan longer-term routes to net zero,” he added.

Middle East Progress

The Middle East’s petroeconomics also underperformed, even if the rich Gulf states continue to push ahead with their climate plans.

Morocco (26th) was the highest ranking country in the Middle East and North Africa. Over 40% of the country’s electricity is now generated from renewable sources.

Israel (38th) took second place in the region and promised to get 13% of its energy from renewable sources by 2025. The UAE (43rd) took third place.

Petrostats like Saudi Arabia (61st), Russia (73rd) and Iran (74th) were classified as “climate protection” because of “a lack of progress and commitment to the development of a modern, clean and innovative economy”. Qatar was ranked 76th at the bottom of the index.

The report said the pressure on oil revenues associated with Covid-19 would likely delay national economic diversification programs and further stall emissions reduction efforts.
