After a breakup, do 10 issues your accomplice would not do to you

If you’ve recently been released from the grip of a relationship that has prevented you from doing things that have brought you joy and fulfillment, you may want to take a cue from this Reddit thread. It suggests that after a particularly bad breakup, you should do 10 things your ex-partner wouldn’t do to you, so that you can get a real stake in who you are.

While it may seem crazy to lose sight of who you are, it is possible that you may feel a little lost when unraveling your life from a former significant other. Here’s how you can actively try to regain that sense of self.

Illustration for article titled After a Breakup, Do 10 Things Your Partner Wouldn't Do To You

Start small

In a bad relationship, it can feel like walking on eggshells around your partner, sometimes triggering their anger at seemingly minor offenses. When you have overcome the emotional hump and want to enjoy your newfound independence, there are subtle ways to express it. As a partner, did you insist on making the bed every morning? Leave it messy if you want. Would they berate you for belching during lunch? Burp with devotion. Were you a stickler for socks on the floor? Leave them where you want.

It’s important to articulate your individuality in small ways so that you can feel comfortable enough to make bigger leaps down the line. Of course, there is no reason to resort to bad, self-destructive habits just because there is no one to keep you in check. But it is true that by exercising your freedom, contrary to your former partner’s wishes, you can feel empowered.

While it’s also true that people in healthy relationships can still upset each other, it’s known that toxic relationships don’t allow people to be their most authentic selves.

Do things they would never do

Would your ex-partner never go on a big outdoor vacation because they were too busy with work? Plan a trip alone if you tend to. If you’ve had a partner who wouldn’t indulge in your love of roller coasters, go to a theme park after the pandemic settles down.

Bad partners tend to sabotage their significant other’s attempts to claim joie de vivre. Also, it’s possible that what makes you happy makes you uncomfortable or nervous. As long as this interruption is due to normal and healthy activity, get out there and do whatever your ex refused to do with you. This is not a symbolic act of revenge, but a way to remind yourself why you are feeling good.

Reclaim that confidence to be a better partner in the future

It’s widely known to be redundant and annoying Trust is attractive. If you have been prevented from articulating a sense of self because of an oppressive relationship, your confidence has likely suffered. When you start doing things that make you happy and make you feel like the best you are, it will only lead to a greater sense of trust, which in turn will make you more magnetic for the next special person you meet . As long as you do not hurt anyone, you should do the things that bring you joy – and no partner should stop you in the persecution.

Tweets from Elon Musk and different celebrities are boosting Dogecoin absorption

LONDON – Dogecoin rises after billionaire Elon Musk and other celebrities endorsed cryptocurrency on Twitter.

The meme-inspired token rose 65% in 24 hours to a record high of $ 0.083745 on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET, according to CoinMarketCap. On Monday at 5 a.m. ET, Dogecoin rose 25% at a price of $ 0.07415.

Dogecoin’s outstanding run has increased its market value to over $ 9.5 billion – it briefly reached US $ 10.7 billion on Sunday – making it the number 10 digital coin in CoinMarketCap’s ranking.

At its intraday peak on Sunday, Dogecoin trading volume had reached around $ 13.5 billion in the past 24 hours.

Dogecoin was created in 2013 and is based on the “Doge” meme, which was popular at the time, which, in addition to multicolored text in comic-sans script, depicts a Shiba-Inu dog. The cryptocurrency was originally started as a joke but has gained a following.

Retail investors have recently increased the price of Dogecoin and turned to Musk. Tesla’s CEO has tweeted about Dogecoin several times over the years.

More recently, he published a picture of a fictional “Dogue” magazine – a piece with the fashion title “Vogue” – that caused the price of Dogecoin to increase by 800%.

Musk then threw his support behind Bitcoin, saying it was “on the verge of widespread adoption” in the financial sector. In an SEC filing filed on Monday, Tesla announced it had bought $ 1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin and was accepting the cryptocurrency to pay for its products.

In his previous statement in support of Bitcoin, Musk, he did not have a “strong opinion” about other virtual currencies and that his tweets about Dogecoin were intended as jokes.

“But fate loves irony,” Musk said recently on the Clubhouse social audio app. “The most entertaining and ironic result would be that Dogecoin will become the currency of the earth in the future.”

Musk recently made several tweets about Dogecoin. Just two days after saying he planned to take a break from Twitter “for a while,” Musk returned, posted Dogecoin memes, and called the token “the people’s crypto.”

He was joined by Snoop Dogg and Kiss singer Gene Simmons to post tweets in support of Dogecoin. Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., tweeted on Musk with a parody of one of his albums. The words on the album cover are replaced with “Snoop Doge” while the doge picture covers the rapper’s face.

Simmons – real name Gene Klein – has actively promoted Dogecoin to his followers and tweeted popular slang phrases in crypto like “HODL” and “to the moon”. The rocker said he made a “six-figure” investment in Dogecoin and owned other cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.

The episode is reminiscent of the crypto craze of late 2017, when the price of Bitcoin rose to nearly $ 20,000 before dropping to $ 3,000 the following year. Several celebrities had hyped crypto in 2017, with some advocating a controversial form of crowdfunding known as the “first coin offering”.

Dogecoin’s resurgence in recent weeks is also due to the buzz of a Reddit group called SatoshiStreetBets. Like the WallStreetBets group that fueled the recent GameStop rally, SatoshiStreetBets is aiming to increase the prices of cryptocurrencies.

Order Valentine’s Day flowers now

Are you thinking of buying someone flowers for Valentine’s Day? You should hurry because the prices only get more expensive the closer you get to February 14th.

According to a study by the deal-hunting site Brad’s DealsIn the middle of summer, you can get the lowest price on roses (a dozen, of course) when they average $ 32 from one of the five major delivery brands. Compare that to the highest average price – $ 49.98 the week leading up to Valentine’s Day. Depending on supply and demand can go up to nearly $ 100 (before shipping costs!) when purchasing as a last-minute order on the actual day.

While it seems like a classic case of overload, it is a demand satisfaction problem. After all, Valentine’s Day only lasts 24 hours. “It’s not that flower sellers can just phone the factory and tell them to get production going,” writes Rebecca Lehmann for the Brad’s Deals blog. “The flowers have to be harvested and transported, often from distant (warmer) places, just in time to bring them to the customer in a specific day window.”

Order while you can

The bad news: It’s too late to save up on a bunch of a dozen red roses as the report says placing an order around Jan 15th can help you get the lowest prices of the season. However, the sooner you order, the less likely you are to pay the top dollar prices that the last minute shoppers will pay for.

The National Retail Federation expected People who celebrate Valentine’s Day with someone significant spend an average of $ 101.21 per year. Don’t let the cost of flower delivery consume more of that budget than is strictly necessary.

This is how you keep costs down

Many retailers offer coupon codes or other discounts if you order now. Another strategy to keep costs down is to skip roses for a different type of flower that is a little less on the nose for Valentine’s Day. You can also save money by scheduling these roses for delivery a day or two before Valentine’s Day, as many services charge fees for delivery on that particularly busy day.

Bachelor Nick Viall teases his romance with Natalie Pleasure

Nick ViallThe new relationship is a real pleasure.

In one of his podcasts, The Viall Files, the former undergraduate director spoke to Dollface Star Esther Povitsky and confirmed his new, low-key romance with his girlfriend Natalie Joyhe was seen with earlier this year.

Simply put, he said to the TV star, “Yeah, I’m in a relationship. It’s fun. It’s great. I’m super happy.”

When Esther asked if he can hear birds chirping now that he and Natalie, a surgeon, are together, Nick said, “I have these moments of gratitude and gratitude to be happy. So there are moments when in which I am “You are really great and I’m really glad you are not in my life.”

Unlike Nick’s previous romances, which usually included a rose ceremony, the 40-year-old said his new relationship with health workers began after it slipped into his DMs.

“It was very romantic,” said Nick, who was previously engaged Vanessa Grimaldi before splitting from Bachelor Nation alum in 2017, joked. “It’s kind of a sweet meeting you want.”

AstraZeneca tries to regulate Covid vaccine as South Africa stops rollout

The dose of Oxford University / AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be displayed from its box on January 2nd, 2021 at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, UK.

LONDON – Drug maker AstraZeneca is making efforts to adapt its Covid-19 vaccine in light of new variants of the virus. The process becomes more urgent after a small study found it less effective at protecting against the more virulent strain discovered in South Africa.

The country said it will end the use of the shot in its vaccination program after a study published on Sunday that has not yet been peer-reviewed found the vaccine offered “minimal protection” against mild to moderate illnesses caused by the South African variant will.

Researchers from the University of Witwatersrand and others in South Africa, as well as the University of Oxford, found the study was small, with only about 2,000 volunteers, with a mean age of 31. Oxford University said: “Protection from moderate to severe illness, hospitalization or death could not be assessed in this study because the target group was exposed to such a low risk.”

The vaccine manufacturers had already started developing second-generation Covid vaccines, which will target new variants of the virus. Experts say it shouldn’t be too difficult to tweak existing vaccines to cover mutations, and that they could be adjusted within six weeks. AstraZeneca shares traded 0.6% higher on the London FTSE 100 index on Monday.

Sarah Gilbert, professor of vaccinology at Oxford University who developed the vaccine with AstraZeneca, said Sunday that “efforts are being made to develop a new generation of vaccines that will allow protection on new variants as booster jabs redirect if this is the case. ” it turns out that it is necessary to do so. “

“We are working with AstraZeneca to optimize the pipeline that would be required for a strain change should one become necessary. This is the same problem all vaccine developers face and we will continue to monitor the emergence of new variants that arise in the readiness for a future change of burden.

The variant, officially known as the B.1.351 mutation, was first detected in South Africa in October 2020 and has since become dominant in the country.

Several cases have also been found elsewhere of health officials making efforts to stop the spread of the mutation, which has been found to be more contagious. There were already concerns that this variant might be more resistant to coronavirus vaccines developed last year.

With the use of the AstraZeneca-Oxford University jab stopped, the South African government will instead offer vaccines made by Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.

In late January, Johnson & Johnson reported that its single-dose shot was 57% effective in one of its clinical trials in South Africa, where almost all Covid-19 cases (95%) were due to variant B infection. 1,351 descent. For comparison, the vaccine was found to be 72% effective in the US arm of the study.

Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna have both reported early signs that their vaccinations offer protection against new known variants of the virus found in South Africa and the UK

On Friday, Oxford University released details of a separate study showing the vaccine was effective against a variant of the virus that was first discovered in south-east England and has now become the dominant strain in the UK

Andrew Pollard, professor of pediatric infection and immunity and lead investigator of the Oxford vaccine study, said data from studies of its vaccine in the UK “shows that the vaccine protects not only against the original pandemic virus, but also against the novel variant B.1.1 .7, which caused the rise in disease across the UK from late 2020. “

Third stimulus test – when do you count on your $ 1,400 Covid assist cash?

0

PRESIDENT Joe Biden has assured the Americans that a new round of Covid Aid will send out stimulus checks worth $ 1,400.

But with so many desperately in need of the support package now, many wonder how long they will have to wait for the incentive.

Biden pledged to “act quickly” to get Americans the third installment of stimulus checks after the new $ 1.9 trillion Covid budget plan was passed.

During a press conference on Friday, Biden told reporters that he would not delay sending out stimulus payments.

“I’ll act quickly,” he said. “I will help the Americans who are now injured.”

Biden also confirmed that aid payments would not be cut.

“Here’s what I’m not going to do: I’m not cutting off the checks,” he said.

“They’ll cost $ 1,400. Period. That was promised to the American people.”

Biden’s statement came after the House, in a vote near the party line, approved the Senate’s budget resolution.

The Democrats plan to push a package similar to Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion economic aid proposal – all signs point to a bill being signed in the coming weeks.

House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi told reporters Friday, “Hopefully we’ll send something to the Senate in two weeks and that will be done.”

The new plan was passed in the Senate in a “huge first step” in support of the Americans.

After about 15 hours of debate and successive votes on dozens of amendments, the Senate found itself at a 50:50 partisan impasse in passing the budget.

That impasse was broken early Friday morning by Vice President Kamala Harris, whose “yes” vote meant victory for the Democrats.

“On this vote, the yes is for 50. The no is 50,” Harris said at the end of the session.

“Since the Senate is equally divided, the Vice President agrees and the simultaneous resolution, as amended, is adopted.”

So when can Americans expect to get their stimulus checks?

Once the bill is signed by Biden, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen should be able to deposit the $ 1,400 checks into Americans’ bank accounts in a matter of days.

Compared to the speed of the previous $ 1,200 Cares Act reviews, Americans could expect their support packages to arrive in the mail about a week after they were handed over.

The $ 1,200 and $ 600 stimulus checks sent in 2020 went to Americans with incomes of $ 75,000 or less and married couples who jointly submit incomes less than $ 150,000.

These checks were set for individuals earning more than $ 99,000 and for joint applicants with no children for $ 198,000.

Income was based on adjusted gross income.

This time around, those income thresholds could be lowered, with Biden suggesting last month that it may be lowered to direct the money towards those most in need.

On Thursday, the Washington Post reported that Democrats may only send $ 1,400 direct payments to people earning $ 50,000 or less, or $ 2,800 to married couples with incomes of $ 100,000 or less.

However, it is not currently clear what new income thresholds Democrats could use for exit opportunities.

It’s also unclear whether the Democrats’ package would send checks based on 2019 or 2020 earnings.

Biden was previously beaten up for “going back” on $ 2,000 checks he originally sponsored.

Last month, Biden tweeted, “$ 600 just isn’t enough when you have to put on the table between rent and food.

Just hours after the Senate reached an agreement on a new Covid aid bill, Pelosi called the budget a “declaration of our values” and insisted that the resolution was a “giant leap in saving lives and livelihoods.”

Pelosi said, “Next week we will be writing the legislation to pave the way for the final adoption of the Biden American Rescue Plan so we can finish our work before the end of February.”

Joe Biden and the Senate Democratic leaders agree that there is a need to get Americans to $ 1,400 faster stimulus checks

How one can set your Telegram account to self-destruct

Kerboom. That is the sound of your Telegram account, which automatically deletes itself. In all honesty, I wish this feature had been built into more services. Wouldn’t it be great if an old email account that you never used goes away when you haven’t signed up for two years?

The telegram’s self-destruct sequence usually begins with six months of inactivity. As a telegram describes::

Telegram is not a commercial organization and we value our storage space very much. If you stop using Telegram and are not online for at least six months, your account will be deleted along with all messages, media, contacts and all other data that you store in the Telegram cloud.

However, six months is just a standard. You can change this setting to a shorter or longer period if you want a little more security. As in, do you want your account to be unavailable after a month or you don’t trust yourself and prefer an extra margin before deleting the Telegram all on your behalf.

First start telegram (iOS, Android) and access the settings by tapping in the lower right corner. Then tap on Privacy & Security. You should then see a screen that looks like this:

Set up a two-step verification for your account during your stay. While you may not have an account if you let it dwell for too long, your inactive account will be safe for at least the short (or long) period that it exists. Tom Brady’s daughter Vivian starred in his Tremendous Bowl MVP speech

Tom Brady was staged during his own special moment at the end of Super Bowl LV, but he definitely didn’t seem to mind.

The legendary quarterback won his seventh record-breaking NFL championship on Sunday, February 7, when he led the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a surprising 31-9 win Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium.

Tom was then honored with his fifth Super Bowl MVP title for his three touchdown performance, but it was his 8-year-old daughter Vivian Who was the real star of the after-game celebration?

CBS aired footage of the clearly enthusiastic girl playing during the Vince Lombardi Trophy presentation, and sometimes she would take confetti off the stage and toss it to her brothers. Tom and wife Gisele Bündchen share Vivian and 11 year old son Benjaminand Tom shares the 13 year old son Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan.

What to do if YouTube stops working in your previous Apple TV

0

According to a notification from Apple, YouTube will end support for some Apple TVs in early March. Users can still watch videos from a secondary Apple device via AirPlay, but they will no longer be able to use the YouTube channel on third generation Apple TVs even as of 2012.

Newer Apple TV devices like Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K still support YouTube. These models run tvOS, a modified version of iOS. That means they can run many of the same media apps that an iPhone can. However, older Apple TVs used proprietary “channels” that had to be made specifically for these models. YouTube already got support for first and second generation Apple TVs, so it was only a matter of time before Gen 3 was also no longer available.

We’d like to offer a workaround for those affected, but we haven’t seen any yet. So owners of older Apple TVs have two options for watching YouTube on their TVs. The first is using AirPlay to watch YouTube. Monitoring AirPlay is a small extra step, but an extra step nonetheless. And you need a compatible iPad or iPhone for casting.

The other option is even less good: switch to another device when you want to watch YouTube. You may already have an alternative like a smart TV or a game console like the PlayStation 4 and 5 or the Xbox One, Series X or Series S.

Plus, it’s probably time to update the old Apple TV. And when you do, you have several options. The best upgrade for existing Apple TV users is the latest Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV 4K is the more powerful option, but the Apple TV HD is still a great choice for those without 4K TVs. Both of these will feel like a big upgrade when you switch from an older Apple TV box.

G / O Media can receive a commission

If the new Apple TVs are too expensive, you can switch to the Amazon Fire TV Stick or a Roku. The good news is that you can download the Apple TV app on either device. This means that you can still view any content (or subscriptions) you’ve bought from Apple without having to pay for a more expensive Apple TV set-top box.
