Oscar’s night is finally here!

After the 93rd annual Academy Awards were initially postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it will take place on Sunday, April 25th. It will begin broadcasting at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.

Mank is the most nominated film of the night and received nods in 10 of 23 categories. The Father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Nomadland, Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago 7 follow with six nominations each, and Promising Young Woman has five. All eight of these films are in the running for the best picture.

Some of the competitors in the acting categories have already fought for a trophy. For example, Viola Davis, who was recognized for her starring role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, was three other nominations and won 2017 for her supporting role in Fences. Similar, Anthony Hopkins, who is ready to star in The Father, has already been nominated five times and won in 1992 for his performance in The Silence of the Lambs.

Other Oscar hopefuls – including Ahmed Rice, Steven Yeun and Vanessa Kirby– are first-time nominees.
