Amtrak has made some pretty good deals lately, but this one has the best value: As part of a 50th anniversary celebration, Coach and Acela Business Class fares are currently getting 50% off the regular fare for select routes in the whole country. Offer also includes flat rate pricing of $ 50 between major cities provided you travel by November 13th. Here’s what you need to know.
How the deal works
From now until May 5th you can book 50% rates for coach and Acela courses at amtrak.com/50th-anniversary-sale on selected routes across the country. Even better, the deal also includes a flat rate of $ 50 per segment on these routes (a segment is defined as every time you get on a train and then switch to another) which means you can travel from Los Angeles Can book seats on buses for $ 50 to Chicago or New York to Miami (although I see they fill up pretty quickly).
