Getting started with virtual reality is fun, but it can also be productive: I’ve found lately that it’s a pretty decent way to work out quickly. However, when I strap on a VR headset, I have to detach myself from my phone and miss all of the sparkling messages my friends send me – or at least. If you’re an Oculus Quest owner, you can now send all of your iPhone’s notifications straight to your virtual screen (and Android users will soon have the option too).
To get started, you’ll need to be running Oculus System Software v29. To check if it’s you, just put on your headset and visit Settings> Info in the main Oculus interface. Any available system updates should be visible once your Oculus headset checks for them. You can download it and install it directly.
(For what it’s worth, I don’t have version 29 on my device yet as Facebook is happy to bring out these updates. Patience is also a virtual virtue.)
Once you have this update, visit the “Notifications” Section of the Oculus Quest or Quest 2 the settings Menu. There you will see a new option to enable: “IPhone notifications in VR.”

However, you are not quite done yet. You need to install those too The eye of the app Finally, log into your Oculus account and activate notifications via your iPhone profile pic in the upper left corner > Account Settings> Notifications. During your stay, scroll through the many options available to determine which Oculus notifications you want to receive in VR and which you want to keep on your iPhone.
After that, your notifications will appear while you are in virtual reality, and you can also view them from a new “Phone” section on your device’s normal notifications screen.
