After recently vacationing with her children in Capri, Italy, Vanessa Bryant showed that her daughter Gianna “Gigi” BryantHer spirit lives on through her family.
The 39-year-old mother shared a sentimental photo of Gigi, who tragically died with her father in a helicopter accident Kobe Bryant in January 2020. She was only 13 while the NBA legend was 41. The picture Vanessa posted on Instagram showed Gigi and Natalia Bryant, 18, sat on a bench years ago. Bianca, 4, and capri, 2, created the heartwarming image by sitting on the same bench during her recent European vacation.
In addition to recreating the Gigi photo, the family’s trip to Italy also had a lot to do with Kobe. The former Lakers player grew up in Italy because his father was a basketball player there. He honored his upbringing in the countryside by giving his children Italian names.
Vanessa revealed more details about her late husband while sharing photos from Dubrovnik, Croatia on the same trip. She said Kobe allowed Natalia to go on the European school trip but that the coronavirus pandemic is derailing her. “I wanted to make sure @nataliabryant got the chance to visit,” said Vanessa. “It is wonderful!”
