The Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority is receiving more than $ 1 million in federal funding to support the development of affordable housing.
Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine announced more than $ 46 million federal funding granted to 26 communities through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Social Housing Capital Fund. According to the HUD, the money can be used to “develop, finance and modernize public housing estates and improve management”.
