Halsey provides insight into her mindset as she expects her first child.
The 26-year-old “Closer” singer posted a carousel of pictures on Instagram on Thursday, February 18, including a shot of her growing bump and several food photos. She added a message about how her pregnancy made her feel about her body and her pre-existing concept of gender.
“February is the shortest month, but the days seem to be very long,” she wrote. “Butttttt goes so fast too ?! I’ve thought a lot about my body. It’s strange to see you change so quickly. I thought pregnancy would give me very strong, binary feelings about ‘femininity’, but it has really leveled my perception of sex all over. “
She continued, “My sensitivity to my body made me aware of my humanity and that’s all. I’m doing a remarkable thing. And it’s great. I hope the feeling lasts. I cook a lot, sleep more, and read many books I miss my family. And you too! “
