KATE Middleton surprised shoppers when she was seen shopping with Princess Charlotte and Prince George in London on Monday.
But when it comes to parenting, the Duchess of Cambridge makes air and grace with her three children, who are not receiving special treatment.

While they may be part of the richest family in the world, Cambridge children are treated no differently than the average child in terms of an allowance.
The Duchess is said to have visited a shop on King’s Road with George (seven) and Charlotte (five) on Monday, where they used their own money to pay for their purchases.
Alexa, who works in the shop the Duchess visited, tweeted, “I’ve always been a fan of Kate Middleton … today she was in one of my shops on Kings Road with George and Charlotte, which the team tells me has she was with them and how the kids were with each other makes me like them even more! “

And she continued, “I wasn’t there but she was talking to my team, the kids had a budget to stick to and they were paying for their own things with their own money.
“Just normal well behaved children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing, and that’s just beautiful!”
Encourages spending time outdoors
She is also passionate about increasing the happiness of her children by leaving plenty of play time outside – rain or shine – and enjoying “simple things”.
On the Happy Baby Happy Mum podcast, Kate said, “We spent a lot of time outside as kids and that’s something I’m really passionate about.

“I think it’s so great for physical and mental well-being and the groundbreaking.”
Kate told Mary Berry about her Christmas special with ITV: “We grow our own vegetables. We have carrots, beans, beetroot – a big favorite – Louis loves beetroot.
“I think being outside and being in nature is a great environment for [children] to learn really lifelong skills. Physical, emotional and cognitive skills. Whether digging, running, bouldering … “
Uses education books
Although she has a nanny and very practical parents who help, Kate likes to be extremely involved in her children’s lives and learn about new parenting techniques.

According to Radar Online, she gets parenting advice from books like Positive Discipline: The First Three Years and The Happiest Toddler On The Block.
She also admits when she’s not getting it right, and discussed this at the Royal Foundation’s Mental Health in Education conference in London.
Kate said: “When I started working with organizations and learned a lot in a short period of time, I was very naive myself as a parent and really knew how important the early years are for the future of children.
“And how important it is that everyone who cares for children at a critical time, teachers, parents and everyone who looks after them, how important it is that we do it right.”
Peppa Pig binges … occasionally
There are certainly advantages to being a royal child, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are keen that Prince George and Princess Charlotte do not grow up spoiled.
According to royal insider Katie Nicholl, Kate has “strict” rules when it comes to her kids’ screen time and prefers to let them enjoy the outdoors.

However, the royal kids do watch some kids programs when allowed.
Prince William told Radio 1 that Prince George was a huge fan of Peppa Pig, but he has moved on to see Fireman Sam.
William joked, “You have to pretend you’re really interested because George is very upset if you don’t take due care of the characters.”
Get stupid
The Duchess was praised for her sweet reaction when Princess Charlotte stuck her tongue out at the 2019 charity regatta.

In an adorable video, Kate encourages her young boy to wave to viewers in Cowes, Isle of Wight – but the princess has other ideas.
When Princess Charlotte stuck out her tongue cheekily, Kate seemed to burst into laughter – like many well-wishers.
Many amused parents quickly raved about the clip, saying, “Just a normal kid! They cannot control their every move. Kate’s answer was fantastic! “
And chaos is encouraged too
Despite being royalty with a household of staff, Princess Charlotte and Prince George love getting messy in the kitchen.
Charlotte and George love making pizza and prefer when they can make their base from scratch.
When Kate was preparing food for a big lunch in the Commonwealth at St. Luke’s Community Center recently, Kate said, “I did that with George and Charlotte – made pizza dough.

Kate also revealed during an engagement in Luton, where she saw a cooking demonstration, “When I try to do this with George at home, chocolate and the golden syrup go everywhere.
