Let the bachelorette casting officially begin.

It’s too early to say who will be in charge of Season 17 – come on, we have 20 women left in the competition Matt James” Heart – ABC Manager Rob Mills recently gave a little insight into the search for the next lead in the franchise in an interview.

“I would say 99.9 percent that the Bachelorette will be someone from one of our previous seasons,” Mills told Variety. “Probably Matt, but at least someone familiar with Bachelor Nation.”

That said, unlike Matt, our next Bachelorette won’t be a newcomer to long rose ceremonies and intense group dates – and it’s likely she’s one of the women we’re currently watching during his season.

Since Matt’s journey began on Jan. 4th, fans have already begun advocating for some of his candidates to be considered for the role, including the recipient of the Rose for First Impressions Abigail Heringer and Katie ThurstonShe who brought a vibrator the first night and owned the king.

But that does not mean that there are no women from previous seasons who could not be selected by producers, including not one, but two former Bachelorettes and Kelley Flanaganwho recently separated from his Bachelor’s degree Peter Weber.

With production slated to begin in March, fans will likely see her next lead role long before Matt’s finale. Whether it’s a familiar face from the current season or a big surprise à la Clare Crawley Last year is the most speculative time of year for Bachelor Nation.
