The past year has taken us on a face mask journey that ranges from bottlenecks to DIY creations to options from virtually every clothing company. And while some people are opting for something in a simple black or traditional blue surgical mask, others have taken their masquerading to the next level, designing and decorating their own settings for the now must-have accessory. If you fall into this category, you might be interested in one Contest with $ 1,000 in prize money for the most creative face mask. Here’s what to know.
How to enter
In some cases the competition is sponsored by EmpireCovers, a company that specializes in vehicle covers and – in its own words – is no stranger to the fabric shields that provide an additional protective layer. (In fact, they published a tutorial back in March 2020 that shows the representation how to turn your car cover into a face mask.)
Entering it is pretty simple: just Fill out this form and submit a photo of yourself wearing your best masked terpiece on March 17, 2021 before 11:59 p.m. EST. The next day, the team behind the competition selects up to 50 finalists and creates a page for users to cast their vote on for their favorite mask. The vote will take place from March 18 to April 2. The winner will be officially announced on April 5th.

At the end of the competition, the person with the most votes from EmpireCovers will receive a cash prize of $ 1,000. A corresponding donation goes to the Bar stool fund Help fund their efforts to support small businesses struggling as a result of the pandemic.
